Business Unit BAMG - Aiken ORR Management Level Individual Contributor Job Category Legal, Compliance & Audit Position Summary Employee/Labor Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the wellbeing of employees including: u2022 Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace. u2022 Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions. u2022 Investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence. u2022 Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee health and safety. u2022 Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies. Responsibilities u2022 Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision. u2022 Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals. u2022 Supports continuous improvement/automation activities. u2022 Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures. u2022 Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications + Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bacheloru2019s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or Industrial Hygiene. + Or 3 years and a masteru2019s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
