Apply today Facility: East Cooper Medical Center Location: Mount Pleasant, SC Department: Clinical Lab Position Type: Full Time Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday- Friday (Participation on the rotating weekend (every third) and holiday (two major per year) schedules is required.) What You'll Do u2022 Testing u2013 Performs processes associated with analytical testing of patient samples. Performs quality control testing to assure accuracy of patient testing. Performs equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Performs competency and proficiency testing to assure maintenance of skills.u2022 Documentation u2013 Maintains required documentation for all lab procedures. Processes requisitions for testing. Prepares and distributes reports. Utilizes appropriate LIS and/or other computer systems to perform daily tasks. Participates in implementation and compliance of regulatory standards.u2022 Education u2013 Successfully completes educational activities to continually improve skills and assists consultants. Performs all duties to satisfy regulations in preparation for inspections.u2022 Customer Support u2013 Provides information and consultation to requestors. Recognizes and promotes interdependencies with other areas.u2022 Operations Management u2013 Practices efficient use of supplies and materials. What We're Looking For Education2 Year / Associate Degree - RequiredAssociate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or medical laboratory or equivalent education or training OR successfully completed military training of 50 or more weeks.ExperienceOne year experience as laboratory tech. (Clinical internships of twelve months duration meet this requirement).Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096.
