Role Overview We are seeking a mid-career Industrial Engineer to join our production team. This is a hands-on role where you will lead process improvements, data-driven decision-making, and new production initiatives. You will work directly with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and support the launch of new production lines. Key Duties & Responsibilities u2022 Analyze and improve business processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency u2022 Collaborate with facilities engineers to plan new production lines and factories u2022 Support Manufacturing Engineers in developing standards and measuring performance u2022 Generate production process simulations and identify resource constraints, flow improvements, and work schedules u2022 Provide data-driven solutions to optimize manufacturing schedules and costs u2022 Lead process improvement initiatives and ensure sustained results - Mentor and train less experienced industrial engineers u2022 Interact directly with shop floor production teams to understand processes and deliver actionable insights u2022 Support occasional weekend or off-hour operations to meet production schedules u2022 Collaborate across all functional groups throughout the product lifecycle u2022 Align program priorities and provide valuable solutions across multiple organizations Work Environment u2022 Fast-paced, highly collaborative production environment u2022 Agile and technology-driven teams, leveraging modern tools and simulation software u2022 Opportunities to mentor, lead, and shape industrial engineering practices u2022 Exposure to critical programs that influence next-generation space technologies u2022 Dynamic culture where continuous improvement, innovation, and problem-solving are celebrated Basic Qualifications: u2022 Industrial Engineering experience in a production environment u2022 Experience in project management u2022 Expertise in cost and schedule performance metrics u2022 Experience developing forecasts, production schedules, or resource load staffing plans u2022 Experience with discrete event simulation of production processes u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience u2022 Proven experience in planning, launching, and ramping new production lines or factories u2022 Leadership experience, including team management and conflict resolution u2022 Familiarity with SAP, Apriso, VECAMS, Tableau, Simio, or other simulation/data tools u2022 Ability to increase production rates while maintaining quality and efficiency u2022 Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with Production Operations and Program Offices u2022 Strong organizational and multitasking skills u2022 Prior production experience or involvement in new production programs u2022 Active Secret security clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
