Description We are looking for a skilled Controller with expertise in the manufacturing industry to join our team in Nevada, Iowa. This position is a long-term contract role, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage critical accounting functions and financial operations. The ideal candidate will excel in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and supporting the organization with valuable financial insights. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. u2022 Lead the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. u2022 Supervise accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, workflow approvals, and vendor communications. u2022 Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments while fostering and maintaining strong supplier relationships. u2022 Monitor and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate cost allocations and financial reporting. u2022 Provide financial support for manufacturing activities, such as inventory management, cost accounting, and production analysis. u2022 Deliver actionable financial recommendations and insights to leadership to guide decision-making. u2022 Drive improvements in internal controls, processes, and documentation to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Collaborate with multiple departments, including operations and procurement, to ensure financial transparency and alignment with organizational goals. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in a Controller role within the manufacturing industry. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards. u2022 Proficiency with general ledger systems and financial software. u2022 Expertise in accounts payable management and vendor relations. u2022 Solid background in cost accounting and inventory management. u2022 Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. u2022 Ability to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations. u2022 Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
