Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector will be responsible for checking in electrician and lineman materials for testing, visually inspecting incoming materials, and cleaning these materials. The role also involves assisting with packing of goods to be shipped and helping load and unload materials at the loading dock. The successful candidate will receive training in the high voltage testing of new and used linemen's gloves and sleeves, with an expectation of increasing proficiency over time under moderate supervision. Responsibilities + Check in electrician and lineman materials for testing. + Visually inspect incoming materials and clean them as necessary. + Assist with packing goods for shipment. + Help load and unload materials at the loading dock. + Train in high voltage testing of linemen's gloves and sleeves, gaining proficiency over time. Essential Skills + Experience in inspection, quality assurance, and quality inspection. + Strong attention to detail for data entry and quality checking equipment. + Comfortable using hand tools and power tools. + Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs occasionally. + Experience in construction, agriculture, or farming. + Skilled in visual inspection and quality control. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent. + Ability to read and write English. + 6 months of related experience. Why Work Here? The team consists of 20 employees, typically working independently or in small groups of 2-3. The environment includes some dust and involves working with detergents, solvents, water, and high voltage test equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
