Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Responsibilities This is an Open-Continuous Announcement. Applicants will be accepted and referred until the vacancy no longer exists. The first certificate will be issued 15 calendar days from the opening date of this announcement and then weekly thereafter. This position is part of the Mental Health Integrated Clinical Community and will be located at the Carroll CBOC of the VA Central Iowa Health Care System. The PTSD Psychologist will be a member of the Carroll BHIP Team providing evidence-based mental health treatment to Veterans with PTSD. Duties include, but are not limited to: Manages the referral of Veterans for treatment of PTSD. This includes the timely management of Mental Health Consults requesting treatment for PTSD. Provides evidence-based mental health treatment to Veterans with PTSD. Meets monthly and yearly work Relative Value Unit (wRVU) productivity targets set jointly with clinical and administrative supervisors. Completes documentation for patient encounters in an appropriate and timely manner in the Client Patient Record System (CPRS). Completes notes within 48 hours and closes encounters within 7 days. Obtains VA recognition in at least two evidence-based psychotherapies designed for PTSD, such as Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Acts as a consultant on PTSD issues for staff at VA Central Iowa HCS. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm Telework: Not available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
