Responsibilities u00b7 Assesses the needs of patients and families, providing appropriate medical care. u00b7 Reports, verbally and in writing, observations and medical care of the patient. Provides accurate medical documentation of all medical treatment provided. u00b7 May be assigned various administrative and/or hospital duties which may include, but is not limited to: inventory and ordering supplies, squad readiness checks/testingu2019s and inventories; verifying that ambulance and its contents are in proper working condition; maintain familiarity with specialized equipment, etc. u00b7 Participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Initiative processes by properly reviewing patient care reports as set forth by department standards. u00b7 Assists in providing assistance in the hospital emergency department u00b7 Operates at level of certification as allowed by protocol with medical director approval (EMT/Paramedic). u00b7 Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum certification as an Iowa EMT-Paramedic Experience: Previous EMS experience preferred License(s)/Certification(s): u00b7 Current certification at EMT-PM level is required. u00b7 Basic Life Support Certification Healthcare Provider Level u00b7 Valid Iowa Driveru2019s License.
