Job Description Insight Global is seeking a CAD Drafter/Administrator to join a manufacturing company based in Glastonbury, CT. The CAD Drafter/Administrator will own and operator the AutoCAD environment supporting gas turbine packaging and other heavy industrial power systems. The ideal candidate is a senior-level drafter/designer who can produce, review, and control multidisciplinary drawings while also owning the CAD platform, toolsets, and workflows used by engineering and project teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: u2022 Administer, maintain, and upgrade AutoCAD and related Autodesk tools (Plant 3D, Inventor, layer standards, title blocks, symbols, and CAD templates.). u2022 Manage CAD licensing, deployment, user configurations, templates, title blocks, blocks libraries, and drawing standards. u2022 Evaluate and implement plug-ins, CAD automation scripts, and third-party tools. u2022 Lead software migrations and ensure cross-version compatibility across engineering and vendor teams. u2022 Support engineers, drafters, and contractors with CAD issues and workflows u2022 Administer libraries, block libraries, and shared data environments (e.g., Vault) u2022 Develop and enforce company-wide CAD standards, layer guidelines, naming conventions, and revision control. u2022 Produce or modify electrical, mechanical, civil, and P&ID drawings as needed to support active projects. u2022 Work closely with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely drawing deliverables. u2022 Perform drawing reviews for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and industry standards. u2022 Establish workflows for P&IDs, skid layouts, electrical wiring diagrams, and general arrangement drawings.
