Area Vice President, Clinical Operations / RN - Home Care ApplyRefer a FriendBack Job Details Requisition #: 206891 Location: Plainville, CT 06062 Category: Nursing Salary: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year Position Details Position Overview The Area Vice President of Clinical Operations is responsible for the management of all operational services for their area of responsibility. Working within the federal, state, and regional regulations covering home health/care the Area Vice President of Clinical Operations works innovatively to meet the needs of our exceptional patients while fulfilling the Aveannau2019s mission of future growth. Collaborating closely with the Regional VP of Clinical Operations, the Area Vice President of Clinical Operations, establishes and participates in program development and implementation. The Area Clinical Director team members report up through the Area Vice President who oversees hiring, discipline, training, and all nursing related items. COMPENSATION:$140-150k base salary, plus bonus potential (up to 30% of salary based on branches performance),cellphone andmileage reimbursement. Up to 80 hours of vacation accrual in the first year, 48 hours of sick time accrual, 1 8-hour fun day and 1 8-hour inclusion day. Vacation hours accrual will increase to 120 hours of vacation after 1styear. Essential Job Functions u2022 Communicates formally and informally (in person or phone) with Corporate Representatives (corporate level) and Area Clinical Directors (branch level) to discuss/implement clinical procedures and troubleshoot issues/concerns. u2022 Conducts day-to-day personnel management to include: o All components of performance management u2022 Enforces and demonstrates compliance with all State and Federal Regulations, Medicaid Regulations, and Aveanna Healthcare policy and procedure. u2022 Organizes & conducts Clinical leadership and staff meetings. u2022 Collaborate with Area Clinical Directors (CD), and Corporate Recruiting staff in order to build Nursing teams at the branch level u2022 Provide guidance for all Area Clinical Directors and Clinical Supervisor Staff as needed u2022 Monitor caseloads per branch. u2022 Mentor leadership staff regarding management strategies. u2022 Routinely audits and assesses for service failures and intervenes as necessary. u2022 Participate in community events. u2022 Achieve clinical and metrics provided by the executive team u2022 Review weekly/monthly clinical performance reports to assure nursing expectations are being achieved and met. u2022 Routinely make presentations to Regional Team and other staff regarding clinical topics and key performance indicators to include appropriate plans to address negative variances. Requirements u2022 Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing u2022 A minimum of 4 years management experience u2022 Current State licensure as a Registered Nurse u2022 Valid Driveru2019s License and Acceptable MVR u2022 3 year experience as a Registered Nurse within the last 5 years; in a clinical care setting preferred u2022 Current CPR accredited by American Heart Association and American Red Cross or any other accredited sources approved by Aveanna Healthcare u2022 Strong computer skills and knowledge of basic software (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferences u2022 Home health or home care experience preferred u2022 Management experience preferred Other Skills/Abilities u2022 Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times u2022 Ability to comfortably work in homes of families with limited resources u2022 Quick-thinking and astute decision making skills u2022 Attention to detail u2022 Time Management u2022 Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution u2022 Excellent organization and communication skills u2022 Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations u2022 Strong commitment to clinical excellence u2022 Leadership skills u2022 Ability to train and supervise staff Physical Requirements u2022 Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English u2022 Must be able to travel; company does not provide vehicles or transportation u2022 Occasional lifting, caring, pushing and pulling of up to 25 pounds u2022 Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting u2022 Must be able to sit and climb stairs u2022 Must have visual and hearing acuity Environment u2022 Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours u2022 Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions Other Duties u2022 Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
