Oversees clinical operations, as well as the day to day operational activities supporting designated practice. Acts as point person for any and all practice related activities and issues. Able to analyze challenging clinical situations and problem solve and enact solutions. u2022 Provides office-based nursing care in collaboration with provider u2022 Communicates with provider regarding patient needs, nursing assessments, and recommendations u2022 Assesses physical and psychosocial needs and environmental factors affecting patients and their families, formulates nursing plan of care and ensures continuity of patient care through appropriate nursing evaluation and intervention u2022 Assists patients and family members or other clients with concern and empathy; Provides information and education to patients and their families based on identified needs u2022 Collects and documents current health status and medical history and assists in scheduling patient office visits u2022 Reviews patient records, including preoperative records, to ensure completeness and reviews outstanding issues with provider u2022 Under direction of provider, calls in prescription medications to pharmacies and observes and documents patientu2019s response to pertinent medications u2022 Administers medications according to policy and procedure u2022 Triages telephone calls and displays ability to initiate appropriate nursing intervention in prompt, precise, and professional manner u2022 Maintains active involvement with Clinical Quality Improvement activities u2022 Monitors employee performance and conducts effective performance evaluation sessions u2022 Regularly documents issues, performs disciplinary/coaching sessions and keeps management apprised of significant personnel and operational issues u2022 Participates in orientation of new staff and provides in-service training to new and existing staff as needed to promote compliance with standards u2022 Drives the development and execution of short- and long-term business plans by collaborating with physician leadership and corporate administration in strategic planning and marketing for the practice u2022 Participates in inter-departmental meetings and serves as liaison to outside stakeholders u2022 Develops, implements, monitors and documents policies, procedures, and protocols that ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations u2022 Travel required between Norwich and Mystic Infusion offices. u2022 Perform other related duties as required u2022 Bachelor's Degree u2022 CT- Active RN license u2022 3 years of nursing experience in acute or ambulatory care practice u2022 Ability to collaborate with other nurses and healthcare team members to coordinate and delegate activities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of patient We take great care of careers.
