Job Summary: u00b7 Performs diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols. Responsibilities: u00b7 Sets up and adjusts all imaging equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams. u00b7 Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures. u00b7 Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures. u00b7 Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations. u00b7 Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. u00b7 Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. u00b7 Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). u00b7 Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Education: u00b7 Associates Degree in Health Related Field. Bacheloru2019s degree in Health Related Field preferred. Experience in a hospital setting preferred. Licensure, Certification, Registration: u00b7 RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS certification required. Valid CPR certification required. Work Experience: u00b7 One year of experience required. u00b7 High School Diploma or Equivalent. u00b7 Proficiency in all phases of echocardiography including Doppler, Color, stress, Echocardiography and TEE experience.
