Toolmaker (Part-time)

Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for a Toolmaker in Bloomfield, CT u00b7 Pay: $45.00 per hour + Part Time: Monday - Friday; 4 hours within 7am - 3:30pm (8am - 12pm or 11am - 3pm) + Temp to Hire + Weekly paycheck The ideal candidate for this position will have various manual machining, fabrication and tool development experience. Previous experience working in a prototype / development environment fabricating components and interacting closely with engineers and technicians. Responsibilities u00b7 Fabricates various parts and all other extrusion components using open setup methods on manual lathes, surface grinder, manual and 3 axis milling machines, metal press brake, water jet, and wire EDM to provided prints. u00b7 The ability to fabricate and assembly various components, tools and fixtures using different while observing operational shop guidelines established for the assembling area. u00b7 Experience with AutoCAD and MasterCAM. u00b7 Ability to use precision measurement instrument (micrometer, Vernier calipers, pin gages, and compares measurements to prints to ensure accuracy of quality tooling. u00b7 Ability to read blueprints is a must. Strong knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is needed. u00b7 Ability to work well under pressure, to handle multiple projects, and to meet deadlines is required u00b7 Keep the workspace orderly. Participates in end of task / shift clean-up of tool room work areas. Comply with safety standards a must. u00b7 Candidates must have effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills u00b7 Understanding or comfort with running 3D printing equipment is a plus. Qualifications u00b7 High school diploma, technical school diploma or equivalent. u00b7 Machinist Journeyman Certified or related certification is a plus u00b7 Ability to read and interpret documents including specifications, drawings, work instructions, safety rules, procedures, manuals, and MSDSs.
