Eatonu2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Field Service Electronics Technician. This role is based out of our Minden, LA location. The expected annual salary range for this role is $68000 - $78104.4 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What youu2019ll do: Eatonu2019s Critical Power Solutions Division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and electronic-based products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. Our technicians deliver mission-critical solutions to our customersu2019 most challenging energy management requirements. In this role, you will perform on-site emergency repairs, start-up services and preventative maintenance in an on-call environment with regional responsibility. Products to include UPS systems, power distribution units and batteries. You will provide technical support to customers and serve as technical advisor for operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: u2022 High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. u2022 Minimum of two (2) years of Power Systems, Battery technologies and/or Electronics experience (coursework and internship experience apply). u2022 Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted State Driver's license. u2022 Must have ability and willingness to undergo and pass customer entrance requirements, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings. u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. u2022 No relocation is being offered for this role. This position is based remotely. All candidates considered must reside within the greater Shreveport, LA area. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Associateu2019s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related field from an Accredited Institution or currently enrolled in a Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering program from an accredited institution. u2022 Minimum of three (3) years' experience working with Power Systems, Battery Technologies and/or Electronics. u2022 Ability to read schematic drawings and knowledge of troubleshooting, test and repair techniques. u2022 Electrical Technology Certificate from an accredited institution. Position Success Criteria: u2022 Frequent travel to customer sites is required, with up to 25% of drive-time expected. u2022 Ability to work with other Field Service Technicians and take directions from the lead Field Service Technician on site. u2022 Incumbent may be required to perform the following tasks, but not limited to, frequent, occasional, or seldom: repetitive lifting/carrying; pushing/pulling; standing; climbing; squatting; bending; kneeling; or driving extended distances. u2022 Ability to lift 50lbs or more using lift assist equipment or a two-person lift. u2022 Good understanding of single phase and three-phase circuit theory; analog and digital electronic circuit theory; and microprocessor controls and programming. u2022 Understand how to use Oscilloscope. u2022 Understand how to perform phase rotation and phase alignment checks. u2022 Basic understanding of network functionality and sealed and wet celled battery theory and application. u2022 Understand the proper use of hand-tools, and when it is appropriate to use insulated tools. u2022 Understand need for safety and comply with company and customer rules on safety. u2022 Must demonstrate proficiency on products and field processes before being dispatched to the field. u2022 Must provide a high quality of service. u2022 Self-starter and motivator. u2022 PC Proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, and Outlook. u2022 Proven, strong written and oral communication skills. u2022 Periodically support customer needs outside immediate region within the USA.
