Description: You will be a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in tooling acquisition and installation for our Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) program. Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective, and providing engineering support to the production floor. What You Will Be Doing u2022 Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item. u2022 Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing CREO / SolidWorks. u2022 Develop Statement-of-Work (SOW) documents to fully realize manufacturing requirements. u2022 Oversee design reviews at all stages of tooling development (PDR, CDR, and FDR). u2022 Manage tooling installations while adhering to defined project timelines. u2022 Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements. u2022 Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues. u2022 Developing and implementing manufacturing processes and systems. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with a minimum of 6-8 years of exp u2022 Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required. u2022 Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings. u2022 The ability to translate technical drawings and specifications into practical manufacturing instructions is essential. u2022 Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). u2022 Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design. u2022 Experience with machine/tooling/equipment setup, troubleshooting, and proofing. u2022 Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes. u2022 Competent with mechanical manufacturing and mechanical assembly. Desired Skills: u2022 Experience working in a manufacturing facility. u2022 Experience with manufacturing tooling and equipment. u2022 Proficient with MS Office suite. u2022 Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or SolidWorks. u2022 Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment used in a Manufacturing Environment. u2022 General machining (CNC and manual) experience u2022 Knowledgeable of engineering materials. u2022 Process line layout experience. u2022 Experience reviewing designs and promoting design for manufacturability. u2022 TAR development in SAP to establish requirements and funding for tooling. u2022 Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships throughout all levels of the organization. u2022 Ability to identify and solve complex issues. u2022 Competent with bill of materials (BoMs) and Indentured Parts Lists (IPL). Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
