Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in Falmouth, Maine. This role involves assisting clients with their individual tax returns and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. As part of a long-term contract position, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and efficient tax preparation services. Responsibilities: u2022 Assist clients in completing individual tax returns accurately and efficiently. u2022 Review financial information and documentation to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. u2022 Utilize Lacerte Tax software to prepare and file tax returns. u2022 Provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters and potential deductions. u2022 Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings. u2022 Identify and address discrepancies in financial records or tax documents. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service quality. u2022 Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all client interactions. u2022 Respond to client inquiries regarding tax preparation and filing. u2022 Ensure timely submission of all tax documents and filings. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in individual tax preparation and filing. u2022 Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations. u2022 Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax software. u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. u2022 Excellent organizational and time-management skills. u2022 Ability to communicate complex tax information clearly to clients. u2022 Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
