Traveling Medication Administration Personnel (Amap)

As a ResCare team member, you will work as a Travel Approved Medication Assistive Personnel (AMAP) to provide direct care in administering medications to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group or independent living home-like setting. Responsibilities u2022 Successfully complete the Approved Medication Assistive Personnel (AMAP) curriculum with the required passing score (company provided training).u2022 Administer physician ordered medications and treatments within the scope of permissible AMAP responsibilities.u2022 Complete required observations with the AMAP Registered Nurse to maintain certification.u2022 Consult with AMAP Registered Nurse concerning PRN medications, medication stock, and all other matters requiring RN consultation as defined by the AMAP program.u2022 Utilize electronic medication administration record and other forms of charting.u2022 Travel to assigned locations to administer medications per physicianu2019s orders. Travel to and from core office location as needed.u2022 Providing Medication Administration to the clients we serve, to include utilization of QuickMaru2022 Conducting adaptive equipment auditsu2022 Scanning of medical appointment information to the Nursing Department and ensuring all necessary medical supplies and equipment are received.u2022 Other duties as assigned Qualifications u2022 Prior medication administration experience preferredu2022 High school degree/GED requiredu2022 18 years of age or olderu2022 Valid driver's licenseu2022 Ability to work in group home or independent living home-like settings.u2022 Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the companyu2022 Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of timeu2022 Must maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirementsu2022 Medication Administration as required by state/program requirements About our Line of Business ResCare Community Living, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, has five decades of experience in the disability services field, providing support to individuals who need assistance with daily living due to an intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disability.
