Job Summary and Responsibilities Paramedic Opportunity Are you a highly skilled and compassionate Paramedic ready to elevate patient care in a dynamic clinical setting? We're seeking a dedicated professional to join our team, providing essential medical support and promoting patient wellness. In this crucial role, you'll work within your North Dakota scope of practice, collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. You'll ensure patients and families receive the highest quality care, contributing significantly to positive health outcomes. As a Paramedic, You Will: + Provide Direct Patient Care: Perform critical procedures including EKG, Accu checks, CPR, wound care, splinting, and various medication administrations (IM, IV, oral, etc.). + Execute Advanced Skills: Expertise in IV, IO, and EJ insertions. + Monitor & Document: Conduct re-assessment of patient condition, meticulously document vital signs, assessments, and medications in the EMR. + Respond & Assist: Be a vital resource during code and trauma activations in the ED and across the hospital campus, offering immediate support. + Ensure Mobility: Facilitate independent patient transportation to inpatient units as needed. + Maintain Readiness: Expertly manage oxygen administration, cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and spinal stabilization. + Collaborate & Consult: Act as a key resource, consulting with supervising nurses and ED physicians on patient conditions and treatment plans. Job Requirements Required Licensure & Certifications: + EMT-Paramedic (EMT-P): Valid certification to function as an EMT-Paramedic in the state of North Dakota. + Basic Life Support (BLS): Required upon hire.
