With a staff of 350+ dedicatedprofessionals and ~$1B in equipment and materials procuredannually, we provide Clients with comprehensive supplychain services that are unmatched in the industry ternal Applicants: This position can be performed from any Turneroffice.L3, L4Position Description:SourceBlue Mechanical Subject Matter Expert accountable for Estimating andProcurement functions throughout preconstruction phase.Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:1. Interdepartmental collaboration and cross-functionalteamwork. Ability to meld into team and provide support where needed.2. Facilitate communication and coordination across departments to ensureproject success.3. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, designcommunity, and Trades to enhance future SB business development opportunities.4. Oversee and manage processes to review drawings, specifications, and otherconstruction documents; inform SB senior management of design-related problems,completeness of documents, and other potential risks.5. Solicit vendor pricing for SB project estimates and budgets.6. Develop and issue bid packages to vendors. Assess vendors' bids againstcontractual requirements and prepare bid analysis for project team review.7. Assess vendor contract terms and specified packages. C coordinate reviewwith SB Supply Chain Project Executive and SB National team, close the bidprocess, and communicate awards to vendors.8. Collaborate with SB Procurement & Supply Chain Team to develop andevaluate procurement schedules and resources and analyze subcontractorproposals.9. Management of developing lump sum/GMP/Cost Plus bids and estimates, andreview for SB senior management approval.10. Perform design assist/ design build functions.11. Manage and oversee Value Engineering process during preconstruction.Recommend alternatives for strategic SB supply chain awards for final productselection by stakeholders.12. Generate, coordinate, and manage Budget Control Reports between eachmilestone estimate to manage cost events and value engineering opportunities.Provide variance reports for each milestone estimate to communicate scopedevelopment for each project stakeholder..13. Coordinate and review development of General Conditions/GeneralRequirements (GC/GR) estimate.14. Provide guidance related to purchasing, product, technical, and supplychain to SourceBlue (SB) project teams.15. Coordinate with SB Operations Team to support Launch Matrix preparation,scheduling, evaluating, executing, and managing meetings for each estimatingmilestone.16.u00a0Collaborate with SB Operations Team to complete ConstructabilityReviews for Launch Matrix and incorporate into milestone estimates to extentrequired by contract.17. Coordinate with Lean Manager to develop and execute Pull Plans for design,estimate, and GMP schedules.18. Serve as advisor and subject matter expert of assigned SourceBlue coreproducts (mechanical or electrical) for assigned projects.19. Conduct market research information for upcoming work.20. Maintain local and national historical estimating data and develop costtrends.21. Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program inEngineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field of study,with minimum o 10 years of building construction experience required, orequivalent combination of education, training, and experience2. Experience with variety of building construction types3. Thorough understanding of drawings and specifications, general contract andsubcontract documents, construction materials, means, and methods4. Ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis ofestimating documents5. Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasingand engineering principles and techniques, and accounting principles6. Ability to develop client relationships, identify sales opportunities, andcollaborate on solutions to secure work7. Extensive knowledge of construction regional market, competition, andindustry trends8. Able to manage high volumes of work and ability to move projects forward ina complex environment in a timely manner9. Negotiation skills with ability influence and engage others10. Effectively work across levels within organization11. Pursues everything with energy, drive and sees initiatives through tocompletion12. Process and critical thinking skills with sound judgement indecision-making13. Ability to leverage continuous improvement concepts, methodologies andtools14. Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications,particularly Microsoft Excel.15. Significant experience in desired discipline noted above.16.
