ADECCO IS HIRING Job Title: Coating Operator (Second Shift) Reports To: Production Supervisor Schedule: Monday- Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm (Second Shift) Pay: $20 an hour $0.60 shift differential Location: North Austin 78753 This person will be working 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to start while they are in training. When they move to 2nd shift they will receive the shift differential. Job Description : The Coating Operator I operates parylene deposition systems to coat customer-supplied parts to meet customer and Engineering specifications. This position also operates other equipment such as vacuum ovens, plasma etcher, tumble coater or other machines. Performs light maintenance and refurbishing on equipment. May perform shipping, receiving and other duties as requested. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: u00b7 Follows process instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPu2019s) and verbal instructions from the Plant Manager, Coating Center Manager, Production Supervisor, or Production Manager. u00b7 Prepares job traveler sheets and coordinates and/or performs the processing of parts through some or all of the following tasks: unpacking, cleaning, promoting, masking, fixturing, coating, de-fixturing, demasking, packing, and completing all required documentation. u00b7 Loads machines, monitors process equipment during run, and verifies coating thickness using various measurement devices and tools. u00b7 Operates all machines connected with the promotion and deposition process with minimal help or assistance. Shuts down, unloads, reloads and starts machines as scheduled. u00b7 Able to operate, maintain and troubleshoot parylene deposition systems or other related equipment. Performs routine maintenance, such as changing pump oil, cleaning valves and cold traps, as well as performing system refurbishing at a defined interval. u00b7 Maintains records, checklists and log books on equipment, including the documentation of witness strips, QC testing and maintenance. u00b7 Able to read customer or engineering drawings or specifications as related to the processing of customer parts. u00b7 Assembles fixtures and assemblies for coating. u00b7 Prepares, uses and disposes of chemical cleaning and promotion baths. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: u00b7 Maintains a neat and orderly work area. u00b7 May set up, adjust, maintain and operate the microblaster. u00b7 May fixture customer parts in preparation for the coating process. u00b7 Able to participate in FAA/DOT testing as necessary. u00b7 Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies. u00b7 May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); proven mechanical ability and/or previous machine operator experience. BASIC SKILLS: u00b7 Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions. u00b7 Ability to speak, read and write English. u00b7 Ability to properly use and read measurements on tools involved in the coating process. u00b7 High degree of manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination. u00b7 Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems. u00b7 Knowledge of Computers. u00b7 Helpful but not required u2013 Knowledge of Parylene. u00b7 Helpful but not required u2013 Knowledge of Chemistry.
