Senior Application Engineer II

ABOUT THIS POSITION We are looking for an outstanding, brilliant, and driven Senior Application Engineer to join our growing Advanced R & D team. In this mission critical role, the Senior Application Engineer will design, build, and implement amazing web applications and back-end services for our internal customers. They will also have the opportunity to work with cloud-based components and generative AI services on the Google platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO + Designs/develops/tests/implementsimprovements or new featuresin our core code deployment tools and supporting applications, based onthefunctional and technical specifications + Designs/develops/tests/implementsnew features using the Google Cloud Platform + Designs/develops/tests/implementsnew services that interact with various generative AI models hosted on Google Cloud and on-premises + Responsible for adhering to coding standards andtheapproved technologies + Unit tests all changes on development,and then workswith the appropriateBusiness and/orTechnologyOwner(s) to ensurethatthe developed solution meetsthebusiness requirements + Communicates development progress daily to the senior-level team members + Attendsto any work items assigned through the internal case system in a timely fashion + Takes ownership of work items assigned,communicates estimates and daily progress as part oftheSDLC process, and actively works to resolve issues blocking progress + Assistsin the QA process + Participates,as required,in Productiondeployment, providing instructionsand supportfor deployingthecodechanges successfully, andfor SmokeTesting code post-release + Developsand maintainsopen and fluid communication withManagement + Developsand maintainsa positive relationship with other team members + Additional duties as assigned + 2-5 years experience WHAT YOU'LL NEED + u200bBasic understanding of programming concepts + Can code in one or more general purpose programming languages;C# and.NET programming languagesarepreferred + Experience with Python and SQL + Experience with MVC / Containers / GCP preferred + Experience with infrastructure components such as servers, networking, load balancers, and MQ preferred + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment & welcome change + Highly self-motivated + Ability to work both in team and solo environments + Bacheloru2019sdegree in related field or equivalent work experience ABOUT WAYSTAR Through a smart platform and better experience, Waystar helps providers simplify healthcare payments and yield powerful results throughout the complete revenue cycle.
