GHD is seeking a Staff Engineer- Maritime & Coastal practice and can be located in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will primarily assist with design and analysis of several waterfront projects in California, Oregon, Washington and the Pacific. Join us in office, three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Contract Management: Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan. Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them. Engineering Standards Specification: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards. Knowledge Management System: Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice. Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems. Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. Technical Developments Recommendation: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users' needs.
