BD Parata is currently seeking a Field Support Engineer in the Nashville , TN regional area. The Field Support Engineer will provide in depth technical and customer support of BD Paratau2019s suite of pharmacy automation products. In this role you will travel regionally to provide industry leading support and service to Pharmacies in multiple types of environments. THIS ROLE IS FIELD BASED - Territory is NORTH NASHVILLE, TN (extensive travel throughout the assigned area) Key Responsibilities + Deliver exceptional customer service and technical problem resolution at client sites + Maintain equipment and proactively resolve potential issues to maximize uptime + Train customers on operation and maintenance of pharmacy automation systems + Respond to service requests within SLA requirements + Collaborate with service teams to resolve complex technical issues + Assist with new automation installations as needed + Document issues and resolutions in Salesforce Field Service Lightning + Provide product feedback to drive continuous improvement Required Skills/Experience: + High School diploma and 3-5 years field service experience + Strong customer service orientation + Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office + Knowledge of computer networking, router/switch configuration, and file management + Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools for complex equipment service (Pharmacy Automation, Robotics, + Experience with digital multi-meters and electrical testing equipment Preferred Skills/Experience: + Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Robotics, or Biomedical Engineering Technology + SQL knowledge a plus Beneficial Backgrounds: + Robotics : Excellent foundation -- pharmacy automation utilizes robotic arms for dispensing. + ATM or Copier Repair : Electromechanical assemblies, sensors, and complex error codes + Precision Mechanics: Ability to work with small moving parts, gears, belts, and actuators. Familiarity with tolerances and alignment for smooth operation. + Electromechanical Systems: Understanding how motors, sensors, and actuators interact with mechanical assemblies. + Tool Proficiency: Knowledge of linear guides, bearings, and drive systems (belt, chain, or gear-driven - Ability to troubleshoot vibration, noise, or binding issues. + Industrial Automation : Experience with PLCs, pneumatics, and servo systems is a plus. + Software Diagnostics : Understanding error codes and running calibration routines. When properly requested and when feasible (without undue hardship to the company), reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform crucial job functions. + This position may be subject to both outside environmental conditions as well as inside environmental conditions common to a pharmacy location during service or maintenance. + Work will primarily be in the field involving long-term standing and frequent walking as well as include common hazards maneuvering through pharmacy locations. + Work will also include working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing, and grasping often with repetitive motion. + Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. + Must be able to stand up to 10-12 hours a day on occasion. + Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk. + Daily car travel is required; occasional air travel is possible. Travel by car may average four hours per day, with occasional shorter and some longer drive times encouraged.
