For one weekend a month and two weeks a year you could be living the exact same way you are living now (comfortably) and get to take advantage of a supplemental income provided courtesy of the AFR. You can get finanical aid for college or you can use it to provide discounted healthcare for you and your family. You can get on the job paid training with no experience necessary and still get trained up and look pretty desirable on a resume. Having government on your resume typically comes with a security clearance and displays a higher standard of work ethic/discipline and skillset that your peers will not have.
