The anticipated salary range for this role is between $132,000.00 and $156,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description SMBC Americas Division is seeking a Senior Developer to join our newly formed Agile Product team within the Business Intelligence & Strategic Data department. This role will focus on building a robust ESG Sustainability Data Platform using Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, and other modern technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development principles and experience building scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. Role Objectives: Delivery u2022 Design and develop custom solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint Online. u2022 Build reusable components and ensure adherence to DRY principles, entity modeling, and SDLC best practices. u2022 Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate ESG requirements into technical solutions. u2022 Integrate with external systems and data sources, including Azure services and SQL databases. u2022 Support data governance, quality assurance, and interoperability with Tokyo Head Office systems. u2022 Mentor junior developers and contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint planning. u2022 Ensure regulatory readiness and compliance through robust system design. Qualifications and Skills u2022 10+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with Microsoft Power Platform. u2022 Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals: entity management, data modeling, design patterns. u2022 Experience with C#, Azure, and SharePoint Online. u2022 Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and SDLC processes. u2022 Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. u2022 Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality solutions under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications u2022 Microsoft Power Platform certifications (Developer, Functional Consultant, Solution Architect). u2022 Experience in ESG, compliance, or financial services domains. u2022 Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP a plus). u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
