Description: The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager works with his/her leadership team to set the restaurant's goals and creates a plan to achieve excellent results. He or she leads a team of Department Managers and Shift Managers that have specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This means helping the Department Managers and Shift Managers to set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. The General Manager is also a coach and resource to crew members and helps them better serve our customers. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of McDonald's restaurant operations, people leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to set goals and execute effectively. The General Manager primarily maintains a presence on the floor serving customers as well as performing some administrative and office work. This job requires the flexibility to work nights and weekends, as needed. The General Manager is responsible for communicating within their store leadership team and organizational leadership team, which includes answering phone calls and responding to urgent matters when outside of traditional working hours. The General Manager maintains a presence in their store an average of 40-50 hours per week. The General Manager is generally on-site during the day, with occasional night/overnight and weekend requirements, based on staffing and management coverage needs. Supervision: This position is responsible for the direct supervision of Department Managers, Certified Shift Managers, and crew members. The General Manager will directly report to the Operations Supervisor and indirectly report to the Chief Administrative Officer and Owner/Operator.
