Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. Position Summary 70% Travel The Sr. Field Vascular Intervention Specialist is a senior-level position that provides field support for clinical studies involving both peripheral vascular and coronary products, including product-specific and clinical protocol training, data collection and study device implant participation. The incumbent will make recommendations necessary to promote medical acceptance of vascular intervention products and to be the field technical expert on the study device are a required asset. Principal Responsibilities u2022 Establish and maintain clinical trial sites for interventional cardiology studies. u2022 Train site personnel and investigators on study devices and clinical protocols. u2022 Provide technical and clinical support during device implants and follow-ups. u2022 Serve as a resource for site coordinators, investigators, and field personnel. u2022 Ensure accurate and complete data collection in compliance with study protocols. u2022 Assist in timely data collection and submission to meet protocol requirements. u2022 Develop and maintain professional relationships with investigators and sites. u2022 Identify and resolve logistical and operational issues during study execution. u2022 Report and address serious protocol compliance issues. u2022 Lead training and mentoring of newly hired specialists. u2022 Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental decisions. u2022 Collaborate with clinical management on process and procedure enhancements. Education / Experience Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in a health, science, or engineering field preferred. Candidates with an Associate degree may be considered with 5+ years of directly relevant experience. u2022 Minimum of five yearsu2019 experience supporting clinical studies on behalf of industry in the field of vascular intervention, preferably peripheral or cardiac stents. u2022 A minimum of five yearsu2019 clinical experience in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab is required. Specialized Skills / Other Requirements u2022 Participated in all phases of clinical study (start-up, management, closure), either with Teleflex or another company. u2022 Ability to manage multiple projects as evidenced by managing all phases of multiple clinical studies. u2022 Strong working knowledge and understanding of FDA, ICH, GCP regulations governing clinical trials, standard regulatory and clinical practices, and current regulatory issues related to clinical research. u2022 Additional experience in a clinical setting, biostatistics, IDE clinical studies, or medical device product support. u2022 Demonstrate aptitude in and knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and ability to learn and integrate new/different therapeutic areas. u2022 Proven leadership abilities. u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team. u2022 Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and computer skills. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. TRAVEL REQUIRED: 70% The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $135,000- $150,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered.
