Medical Director, Hospitalist

This role will be a hybrid role working remotely with roughly 25% in the local hospitals. Qualifications for this role include: + Las Vegas resident + Must be licensed in NV + Hospital priveliges in the Las Vegas area + MD or DO without restrictions + Hospitalist experience Position Purpose: This Medical Director will assist with hospital discharge planning and correct hospital acuity documentation. It will work with our hospitalist groups, nurse case managers, and the hospital case managers. + Primary liaison with all hospitalist groups + Review daily census and determine opportunities for conversion to more appropriate admission status and/or transition to lower care + Analyze hospitalist group metrics and assist with improving efficiencies + Work closely with the Population Health team to determine appropriate level of care and ensure optimal discharge planning Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited medical school, plus board certification by the ABMS. 5+ years of experience in Medicine and as a Hospitalist. Experience functioning as a lead. License/Certification: Current state medical license without restrictions. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
