PositionOverview This role will be performed during nights and/or weekend hours.The Supervisor, Specimen Processing - Off-shift is responsible for theday-to-day operations of the Specimen Processing Department; including,but not limited to, staffing, scheduling, timecard management,motivating, coaching, mentoring, and performance management. TheSupervisor, Specimen Processing follows all Laboratory policies andprocedures and maintains accurate data reporting practices to ensureconsistent and diligent execution of Specimen Processing. This rolesupports the mission and vision of Exact Sciences Laboratories andshares the responsibility of ensuring the Specimen Processing departmentoperates effectively. The functions of this position are performed underthe guided direction of the Specimen Processing Manager or designee.Location: 650 Forward Dr Madison WI Shift: Tue - Fri 8p - 630a EssentialDuties Include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform primaryresponsibilities listed below completely, timely and accurately:Effectively lead and empower staff to meet quality and productivitygoals set for the shift and department. Manage daily shift operations;including but not limited to organizing efficient workflow, redirectingstaff, maintaining adequate lab equipment and delegating tasks. Organizeand lead routine team meetings and 1 on 1 employee meetings. Support andcoach direct reports through career and professional development.Monitor and provide feedback on employee performance metrics including,but not limited to, attendance, productivity and quality. Prepare andconduct employee feedback and disciplinary action in accordance withExact Sciences Laboratories policy, as needed. Manage and maintain shiftstaffing levels in collaboration with the clinical laboratory managementteam. Effectively interview and recruit employees that meet and exceedExact Sciences core values.
