Job Title: Nurse AideDepartment: Surgical Services/Amb Surg Location: Canton Potsdam Hospital Hours Per Week: 37.5Schedule: 8AM-4:30PM Monday-Friday SUMMARY: The nurse aid works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures and protocols. RESPONSIBILITIES: + (50%) Performs and documents direct comprehensive, family and patient centered care under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff. + (25%) Provides world class customer service to patients and families. + (15%) Reports patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff to achieve positive patient outcomes. + (10%) Maintains a safe and clean patient and family centered environment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + High School diploma or equivalent is required for those hired after 10/08/2024. + Current BLS is required for those hired after 10/08/2024. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Evidence of successful completion of a nurse aide training course at hire and previous experience as a nurse aide. UNION: 1199 - Service Maintenance and Clerical (CPH) Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligible EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $17.91 - $25.40 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
