FTE: 1.000000 Shift: Shift 1 Job iseligible for a one time sign-on bonus Job Summary: As a member of thehealthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care forpatient insuring that the goals of the patients are met and the missionof the hospital is carried out. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1year as a Surgical Technologist experience is required (The one year mayinclude a combination of Surgical Technician experience or SurgicalExtern experience. Please note, one year or more of surgical extern workwill be credited as up to 6 months experience for the one year ofTechnologist experience). EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School Diploma orequivalent is required. Post high school education, certification ordiploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program,completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the FroedtertHealth sponsored apprentice II program required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Certification as a Surgical Technologist. Surgical Technologist Level 3staff, or above, with a date of hire or adjusted date of hire prior to8/1/2020 are not required to be certified, as long as they meet thecriteria in the job description. American Heart Association (AHA) BasicLife Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approvedequivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
