The Marquette University and Medical College ofWisconsin Department of Biomedical Engineering brings together therenowned engineering education and research of Marquette University andthe innovative medical research and clinical practice of the MedicalCollege of Wisconsin. This partnership provides an extraordinaryfoundation for those aspiring to join the next generation of biomedicalengineers, scientists and physicians. We seek applications fromindividuals working in the areas of computational biomechanics,prosthetics/orthotics, robotics or related areas. Although not required,experience in orthopaedics, rehabilitation, or trauma is welcome. Strongapplicants in other research areas will also be considered for ourrapidly growing department. The successful candidate will be expected todevelop an internationally recognized research program and toparticipate in the teaching and service missions of the Department. Weare especially interested in candidates who will provide inspirationalleadership in research and teaching who will engage in the collaborativeopportunities created by the joint nature of the Department. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: RequiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities The ideal candidate will have earned aPhD in Biomedical Engineering or a related field. Preferred Knowledge,Skills and Abilities Knowledge of biomedical engineering in the broadlydefined area of computational biomechanics, robotics,prosthetics/orthotics, and/or finite element methods. Although notrequired, experience in orthopaedics, rehabilitation or trauma iswelcome.
