Overview The Manager, Supplier Insights Coastal is a data driven, strategic-minded resource that will lead supplier analysis and presentations, analytical commercial projects, the implementation of shopper and consumer strategies, and the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the Coastal Division, focused on Diageo and Moet-Hennessy. The roleu2019s primary focus will be to develop the implementation of category and supplier deep dives that translate into commercially actionable strategies, to drive profitable growth and performance across the Coastal division, while being hands on and leveraging supplier and consumer insights and analytics derived from internal and external data sources. Primary Responsibilities u2022 Serve as a subject matter expert on the Supplier Insights Team to extract and synthesize information from internal and external data sources, to develop actionable insights and analysis for strategic project needs, with minimal supervision u2022 Serve as the subject matter expert on the Supplier Insights Team on Consumer and Shopper Insights and how to translate these into actionable insights for the Coastal division u2022 Serve as the project lead, in support of the Sr. Director, Supplier Insights, Coastal strategic and analytical supplier initiatives u2022 Drive strategic enterprise-wide projects and initiatives in support of Coastal Senior Executives u2022 Leverage insights and analytics for the Coastal Division to deliver solutions in support of their business and analytical needs with supplier innovation and new product performance such as category and competitive benchmark analysis u2022 Partner with the Syndicated Insights team and Corporate Category Insights team on syndicated and shopper data requests, in support of supplier or internal strategic initiatives u2022 Proactively identify commercially relevant industry analysis that can be leveraged across various levels of the organization, to include key learnings from historical data and actionable insights for outlooks u2022 Serve as the subject matter expert on the Supplier Insights team on Shopper and Consumer Insights and how to translate these into actionable strategies and growth initiatives for Diageo and Moet-Hennessy. u2022 Leverage shopper and consumer insights to build selling stories to drive strategic initiatives. Additional Primary Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications u2022 5+ years of experience within the consumer products sector, including at least 5 in BevAlc u2022 At least 3+ years experience under a Strategy or Commercial Analytics function, with a strong track record of shopper insights and commercial metrics u2022 At least 3+ years experience managing complex datasets under a Business Intelligence or Commercial Analytics function, with a strong track record of analytics and data mining / manipulation and proficiency at managing datasets u2022 At least 3+ years experience in a Shopper Insights and/or Consumer Insights function u2022 Experience in managing complex leadership presentations from beginning to end u2022 Experience in data manipulation and synthesizing information from various internal and external data sets to develop actionable insights and analysis u2022 Advanced Analytics / Critical thinking skills that translate into a strategic and analytical mindset u2022 Advanced level capabilities to manipulate data into a digestible format to utilize in reporting and analysis u2022 Experience in Excel pivot tables, slicers, and advanced formulas u2022 Advanced data visualizations knowledge in Excel, and PowerPoint u2022 Think-cell and Tableau experience and proficiency is preferred but not required u2022 Knowledge across multiple data sources including SGWS internal data, syndicated data such as Nielsen, consumer/shopper data such as Numerator, Technomic, and Nielsen HomeScan u2022 Excellent presentation skills (Preparing and Presenting) u2022 Commercial project management experience u2013 ability to drive an analysis from planning through completion with minimal supervision u2013 independent thinking required u2022 Strong track record of collaboration with cross-functional project teams Preferred Qualifications u2022 MBA in a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience u2022 Strong/Expert level Business Objects (BO) experience u2022 Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration u2022 Ability to develop, motivate and influence teams while driving changes within a transformational organization u2022 Deep industry knowledge across the SGWS footprint and overall industry u2022 Ability to effectively manage projects that include both internal and external stakeholders u2022 Ability to deliver presentations to senior leadership u2022 Ability to collaborate closely with Southern Glazeru2019s Commercial Intelligence team u2022 Prioritization and decision-making skills u2022 Strong knowledge of market dynamics for wine & spirits u2022 Working knowledge of regulations in major states u2022 Working knowledge of customer dynamics for wine & spirits u2022 Communication and influencing skills Physical Demands u2022 Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine u2022 Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to the rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping u2022 Critical nature of this job may require extended hours, overtime and weekends u2022 May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs EEO Statement Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
