Job Description: Senior Bridge Engineer / Bridge Task LeaderLocation: Spokane, WA (Hybrid)Employment Type: Full-timeSalary Range: $137K-$163K DOEOur client is a respected engineering consulting firm known for delivering high-quality transportation infrastructure solutions across the Pacific Northwest. They are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer / Bridge Task Leader to lead structural design efforts from their Spokane office.This is a leadership role suited for a seasoned bridge engineer ready to take ownership of complex infrastructure projects, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-impact results.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipServe as lead engineer on bridge and structural projects for highway, rail, and transit.Oversee all project phases, from preliminary studies and technical reports to final design, cost estimates, and construction support.Review structural calculations, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.Project ManagementManage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet client and agency standards.Perform condition inspections, load ratings, and structural evaluations on existing bridges.Ensure projects are delivered with constructability and long-term performance in mind.Mentorship & CollaborationProvide technical direction and mentoring to junior staff.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive project delivery.Contribute to proposal development and support strategic business development initiatives.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering12+ years of bridge engineering experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Washington or IdahoProficiency in software such as SAP2000, Midas Civil, LARSA 4D, PGSuper, Conspan, LPile, BRASSStrong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD bridge design standardsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong leadership, communication, and client-interfacing skillsAbility to perform field inspectionsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Structural EngineeringStructural Engineer (SE) license in Washington or IdahoExperience with WSDOT and ITD bridge design standardsFamiliarity with bridge inspection and load rating proceduresEqual Opportunity Employer StatementOur client is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
