We are connected by our mission - partnering and healing for a healthy future - and dedicated to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.FTE: .75, Shift: Days, Schedule: 10 hour shiftsPosition SummaryThe Endoscopy Technician/GI Tech works as a team member and is responsible for providing support to the Gastroenterology Clinics by cleaning, sterilizing, performing high level disinfection, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, transporting supplies and equipment, meeting and greeting patients and their families, taking routine vital signs, and preparing rooms before and after procedures and clinic visits. This position works under direct supervision of the GI Clinic nurse manager or designee.ResponsibilitiesSets up procedures in appropriate departmentsKeeps adequate stock of suppliesAssists the physicianCollaborates with other departments to ensure all equipment for procedures is available and in good working conditionObserves and reports changes to patient's conditionProvides education to patient and families/support person as neededFacilitates ethical plan of careRequirementsHigh School graduate or equivalent preferredBLS Certification requiredCurrent Washington State CNA License required (Current employee in this classification as of 8/10/24, without a CNA license prior are not required to have this license)One (1) year of experience preferred, including in charge entry and order entryOur ValuesAs a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness and Joy.
