Come join us Description As a Haptics Control Architect, you will lead the technical vision and development of advanced control systems that define the next generation of haptic experiences across Apple's product ecosystem. You will architect sophisticated control algorithms and frameworks that manage complex actuator dynamics, setting the technical direction for haptic systems while ensuring they meet exceptional standards for performance, reliability, and user experience. Your role extends beyond individual contribution to include technology pathfinding, identifying emerging opportunities, and driving strategic decisions that will shape the future of haptic technology at Apple. Minimum Qualifications + BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience + Strong background in control engineering, dynamics, and signal processing + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Team Oriented: must be able to thrive in collaborative cross-functional environments Preferred Qualifications + Hands-on experience in control system design, analysis, implementation, and validation + Track record of driving technical decisions and alignment across diverse engineering functions + Familiarity with modeling electro-mechanical system + Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and C/C++ Experience with electromagnetic or piezoelectric actuators is a plus + Experience with high volume mass production is a plus + Knowledge of micro controller or embedded hardware/software is a plus + Knowledge of state-space techniques is a plus + Knowledge of nonlinear control technique is a plus + Experience with AI/ML-based control system design is a plus + M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent with a specialization in control engineering Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
