The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in executing and documenting test programs for TE Connectivity, contributing to the development and quality assurance of our products. Technicians are expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and precision in their work, as test results directly impact product development and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: + Conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing on TE products for Engineering Evaluation and Qualifications. + Prepare samples using hand tools and soldering techniques. + Build test setups and equipment following mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams. + Utilize various mechanical measuring devices for product assembly and verification. + Operate electronic testing equipment, including power supplies and specialized test instruments. + Review and summarize test data. + Write comprehensive test documentation and reports. + Collaborate with internal product, development, and quality engineers. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment. + Adhere to safety protocols and procedures. + This job description serves as a foundation for this role, with additional responsibilities and qualifications added to suit the specific needs of the Harrisburg Electrical Component Test Laboratory. What your background should look like + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. + 1-3 years of experience in product testing or related field. + Proficiency in soldering techniques. + Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles. + Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with hands for extended periods. + Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with MS Project is a plus. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Detail-oriented with critical thinking abilities. + Ability to work well in a team environment with diverse backgrounds. + Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities. + US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency status (due to ITAR restrictions).
