Description: You will be an Aircraft Avionics Technician II. What You Will Be Doing As an Aircraft Avionics Technician II, you will be responsible for: u2022 The LevelII Avionics Technician provides advanced, independent maintenance, modification, and repair of electrical and avionics systems on the SOF GLSS rotaryu2011wing fleets. u2022 The duties of this title will primarily perform tasks independently and play a wide-ranging role in guidance, technical instruction, and specific skill development of less experienced employees. u2022 This candidate will possess vast and comprehensive technical expertise and specialization for the applicable scope of work. u2022 The duties will encompass complex problem solving, effective communication skills and broad knowledge within the scope of assignments. u2022 The duties will include major modifications, thorough troubleshooting, and ensuring all work complies with airworthiness standards while supporting SOFu2011specific mission requirements. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN u2013 This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start. Basic Qualifications: 1. Aircraft Handling Knowledge u2013 Proficient in safe grounding, electrostatic discharge precautions, and aircraft handling procedures relevant to electrical work. 2. Maintenance Record Keeping u2013 Ability to accurately document all maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in maintenance logs and military documentation systems, ensuring traceability. 3. Quality Verification u2013 Demonstrated experience verifying that work meets required reliability, safety, and airworthiness standards. 4. Line Maintenance Experience u2013 Capable of providing electrical system support during flightu2011line operations with routine troubleshooting and minor repairs. 5. Operational Flexibility u2013 Effective both independently and as part of a team; adaptable to shift changes, travel, and deployment. Desired Skills: Specific Aircraft Electrical Experience Proven maintenance on MHu20116 / MHu201160 platforms (or MDu2011500 / AHu2011MHu20116 equivalents), including major modifications and SOFu2011specific upgrades. Adjacent Aircraft Experience Familiarity with electrical/avionics systems on CHu2011MHu201147 and UHu2011MHu201160 airframes; ability to transition between platforms. Advanced Structural Techniques u2022 Avionics Systems u2013 Calibration of navigation, communication, and flightu2011control electronics.u2022 Power Generation & Distribution u2013 Maintenance of generators, batteries, wiring harnesses, and circuit protection devices.u2022 Electrical Troubleshooting u2013 Expert use of diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, avionics test sets). Leadership / Mentorship Experience guiding lessu2011experienced technicians, reviewing work products, and providing technical direction. Certifications FAA A&P license, DoD/USAF avionics or electrical certification, or equivalent military qualifications preferred. Technical Training Completion of advanced rotoru2011wing electrical/avionics courses (e.g., Advanced Rotoru2011Wing Electrical Maintenance School). Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
