Job Title: Production ManagerStatus: Full-Time, ExemptSalary Ranges: $75,000 to $82,000POSITION OVERVIEWThe position assists the Executive Producer, Special Projects, in the development of national programming projects, and plays a pivotal role in the successful development and execution of National Productions (NPD) projects, with a specific focus on health, science, and history genres, as well as, implementing underwriting strategies. This position supports the Executive Producer in all facets of the project lifecycle, from initial concept through development, production, and national engagement campaigns. The position will write, and drive key research initiatives, conduct research and manage sponsor and partner relationships, and oversee project elements, contributing directly to the growth of the National Productions Department development and programming.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate the management and guidance of strategic planning within Special Projects and a broad documentary portfolio, including concept generation, and execution.Serve as the primary liaison for day-to-day project management for designated NPD Special Projects, ensuring objectives and milestones are met, in compliance with public media Standards and collaboration with NPD units, and WETA legal department, coordination, review and execution of customized contracts between WETA and external parties (production companies, filmmakers, underwriters, and program partners/ collaborators).Oversee and provide comprehensive support for the Executive Producer of Special Projects, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and travel coordination.Develop and draft executive summaries, strategic communications, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.Conduct in-depth research and analysis of potential corporate underwriters for current programs and prospective projects, identifying alignment and strategic partnership opportunities.Craft compelling narratives and visual presentations (PowerPoint and Canva decks, proposals, presentations, sponsorship packages, memos, and backgrounders) tailored for underwriters and partners.Manage relationships with prospective and current underwriters and partners, acting as a key point of contact.ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Proven excellence in writing and editing - including marketing materials, reports, and correspondence.Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with many organizations, high profile clients/sponsors, project partners, and vendors with tact and discretion.Some experience in assisting in production projects (events, live, broadcast, digital and virtual).Demonstrated ability with prospect research tools (Sales Force and Ad Data) and other sources.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills and excellent multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Previous supervisory position, including management/supervision of interns, is a strong plus.[]{style=
