The Institute for Justice, the national law firm for liberty, seeks a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join its talented Finance team at our headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Assistant Director of Accounting and will assist with the accounting day-to-day operations. Responsibilities: + Support daily Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner + Support and collaborate with accounts payable and receivable staff + Manage expense reimbursements, credit card reports, and reconciliations + Assist with account reconciliations, and month- and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjustments + Maintain and update financial records in compliance with the Instituteu2019s policies and accounting standards + Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.
