Job DescriptionApply Now >Save JobJob SavedSUMMARY:The Engineering Leadership Development Associate (Engineering LDA) is a role that combines the development aspects of Parker's Leader Development Program (LDP/Program) with the general duties of a Parker Engineer I. The Engineering LDA's primary duties will involve taking on real-world challenges by leveraging teamwork, engineering skills, problem-solving abilities, initiative, leadership, project management, and effective communication, incorporating Program aspects to support decision-making processes that will impact our long-term future.The Program involves rotations where the Leadership Development Associates (LDAs) will work in a variety of roles, in a competitive training and hands-on leadership program designed to provide knowledge, and experience with using their discretion and independent judgment related to their skillsets to support the business. Leadership training and development experiences occur with the goal to develop skillsets in supervision, team leadership, and management. While in program, rotational assignments are structured to expose participants to coaching/mentoring from other professionals from the organization, different business divisions, facilities, and managers nation-wide.PROGRAM DETAILS:Duration: 1-2 yearsStructure: 1-4 rotational assignmentsRotations' length: 6-12 months eachRelocation requirements: The assignments will likely require relocation. Geographic flexibility is required during the programOnsite WorkSCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:____ Has Direct Reports __X__ Does Not Have Direct ReportsSome contact with applicants.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:In addition to various leadership development activities and tasks related to the Program, the LDA will perform direct responsibilities related to the rotational Engineering assignment, depending on the track.Product Development TrackThe program will accelerate learning and appreciation of new product development through cross-functional and cross-group exposure and will ensure new college grads develop skills for career progression through Parker HannifinResearch, evaluate and recommend viable solutions to business issuesWork on a division, group, and/or peer team to complete assigned projectsComplete and present team projects to stakeholdersPresent technical data to teammatesComplete multiple technology courses and training programsDesign, testing, integration, and qualification of Parker productsManufacturing / Automation TrackThe program will accelerate learning and appreciation of manufacturing processes through cross-functional and cross-group exposure and will ensure new college grads develop skills for career progression through Parker Hannifin.Assist in equipment design activities utilizing engineering background and lead individual capstone projectEngage in advanced/complex problem solving using Six Sigma methods/tools.Perform analysis and develop methods for controlling production quality and costs.Design and improve manufacturing/production methods and/or control systems using new, existing, or modified machinery and equipment. Design tools and equipment as troduce or recommend changes to design/build methods, safety measures, and equipment reliabilityDesign and layout of machines and production lines.Optimize existing and/or new equipment solutions through application of lean, quality, simulation and advanced manufacturing (i.e., robotics, additive, controls, etc.)JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering with focus in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer Science, Electromechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Agricultural, motor design, robotics, and/or
