Outside Plant Technician

Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES + Maintain, coordinate, and manage installation of JSP offered services for all outside plant infrastructure. + Provide daily updates on OSP activities and coordinate meetings with relevant stakeholders. + Read and develop construction-related plans and drawings and interface with commercial vendors and utility officials. + Process WHS and State/Local Government permits for OSP activities and coordinate Pentagon Reservation access for supporting vendors. + Provide site surveys and data for projects involving outside plant installations. + Comply with BICSI and JSP OSP standards and provide monthly records of surveys, permits, tickets closed, and meetings attended. + Develop, perform, and coordinate tickets for outside plant incidents and provide emergency restoration services upon notification of OSP-related outages. + Conduct detailed surveys of MHs, HHs, and A-Ring tunnel infrastructure and provide corrective actions as needed. + Capture and update data related to infrastructure condition, duct fill, and maintenance requirements. + Develop comprehensive plans for bringing OSP infrastructure into compliance with standards when non-compliance is identified. + Manage and complete emergency restoration services for OSP infrastructure upon notification of incidents.
