Our internship opportunities offer bright, highly motivated college students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the operations of state government while obtaining valuable on-the-job training. As an HR intern, your responsiblities may include the following: + Contributing to recruitment efforts. + Supporting HR administration functions, including special projects as assigned to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the agency. + Collaborate cross-functionally with the HR team to understand and identify areas of process improvement (i.e., onboarding, streamlining processes, etc.). + Research, compiling, and analyzing HR-related queries and data. + Maintaining personnel files ensuring compliance with record retention requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. + General knowledge of various employment laws and practices. + Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR work. + Ability to work independently as well as with others. + Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively. + Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access...) Minimum Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled or graduated within the last twelve months from an accredited college or university degree program. No experience required for this position.
