u00a0 u00a0 Conducts daily activity program including group, individual/spontaneous, 1:1 and normalization activities as directed by Memory Care Director/Executive Director and per calendar and individual plans and with the intent to optimize the function, safety, health and emotional well-being of each resident.u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Utilizes documentation such as care plans, activity protocols, and other appropriate sources of information to facilitate each residentu2019s best ability to function in meaningful life activities. u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Assist in maintaining all resident activity records to remain in compliance with the community policies and applicable state regulations. u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Monitors activity supplies and assists in the ordering of supplies. u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Participates in resident activity assessments and care plan development u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Act as a catalyst in developing friendships between residents and in promoting the social model. u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Prepares and maintains activity documentation u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Serves meals to residents according to established practice and community procedures u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Maintains a clean and odor-free environment for the residents u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Maintains a clutter-free environment for the residents u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Assists with special events including family parties, support groups, and outtings. u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Plan, coordinate, and help implement decorating of the community for special events, seasons, and holidays. u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 Maintains and reflects a positive attitude experience Current CPR certification Current certification in 1st Aid (Basic knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering basic first aid and resident care QUALIFICATIONS: High School education preferred Previous experience with geriatric clients preferred as well as the desire to work with seniors with memory impairment in a social model of care Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly Good physical and mental health neat, clean, well groomed and responsible Must be ambulatory and in sound physical condition, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend to the floor, reach above head, sit, and perform repetitive movements with arms and legs.u00a0 Must be able to squat, reach, and stretch without distress.u00a0 Must be able to tolerate extended periods of walking and standing Must have working knowledge of; Microsoft, Copier, Scanner, and Shredder CNA (not required) Special Dementia Training preferred Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
