Manufacturing Engineer Lead-Paint

Position Overview International Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Lead u2013 Paint to join our team at the Tulsa Bus Plant. This role is highly hands-on and floor-focused, supporting a high-volume paint operation that produces industry-leading IC Bus products. The selected candidate will spend extensive time on the manufacturing floor, evaluating paint processes, fixtures, equipment, and workflow to strengthen error-proofing and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and throughput. As a key technical leader, you will support daily production by providing floor-level engineering guidance, troubleshooting issues in real time, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across safety, ergonomics, cost, and quality. You will work closely with production teams, represented employees, maintenance, quality, and leadership to ensure first-time quality, optimize paint operations, and advance the long-term reliability and robustness of the Paint department. Responsibilities u00b7 Guide and mentor less experienced engineers through successful project execution u00b7 Partner with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products into the Paint department u00b7 Accurately forecast and track project budgets, maintain financial alignment, and clearly communicate status to leadership u00b7 Execute major paint-related engineering projects on time and within budget to improve safety, ergonomics, cost, quality, delivery, and employee experience u00b7 Review new product designs and protect the plant from paint processes that cannot be executed efficiently or consistently u00b7 Support daily production by implementing engineering solutions that measurably improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and operator experience u00b7 Develop detailed project plans, prioritize tasks with leadership, track progress, and communicate results clearly u00b7 Create, update, and document plant processesu2014including pFMEAs, Control Plans, and reaction plansu2014to strengthen quality and process stability u00b7 Spend extensive time on the paint production floor collaborating directly with represented employees to identify and solve paint-related issues Minimum Requirements + Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of product manufacturing experience OR + Master's degree and at least 2 years of product manufacturing experience OR + At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience Additional Requirements + Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
