Eatonu2019s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Finishing Cell Machining - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $21.75 per hour. The hours for this shift are 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What youu2019ll do: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: u2022 Read and understand work instructions. u2022 Perform visual and physical inspection of functional measuring equipment characteristics on component parts. u2022 Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) know how to detect an out-of-control condition as well as other problem-solving methodologies to ensure quality of product. u2022 Use of functional measuring equipment. u2022 Interpret and work from complex drawings, blueprints and specifications. u2022 Identify non-conformances found during the inspection of component parts and properly document such nonconformances in the DR System. u2022 Setup and maintain various types of tooling used within job function. u2022 Setup and operate various types of finishing equipment (grinders, CNC grinders, laps, hones, etc.) without assistance and maintain proper tolerances. Maintain lubricating oils and cutting fluids to proper levels in machine. u2022 Read and interpret all gauging instruments such as micrometers and indicators. u2022 Utilize small hand tools to remove metal shavings from the interior and exterior of machined parts. u2022 Operate small air, electric, or battery powered rotary tools. u2022 Marking of parts via engraving or etching techniques. u2022 Ability to read and complete inspection ledger, inspection check sheet, operation sheet, move ticket and discrepancy report (DR) and other paperwork as necessary to comply with Quality Systems. u2022 Responsible for notifying supervisors when work received does not meet the specifications required by previous operators including paperwork requirements as observable. u2022 Performs operator defined TPM and/or 5S tasks as required. u2022 Responsible for returning all tools to their proper location at the end of the shift and cleaning work area. u2022 Proper use of all tools and gages necessary to complete and to verify that all work performed has been completed to specifications as required. u2022 Compliance to Manufacturing Self-Release Process (MSRP) and responsible for the quality of the product going to next operation. u2022 Other duties as required within the job classification and duties of lower classifications. Skills: POSITION CRITERIA: u2022 Team player attitude demonstrated in boss and peer relationships in a diverse environment u2022 Strong work ethic demonstrated through action orientation and a drive to achieve results u2022 Proficient writing skills and ability to comprehend detailed written instructions u2022 Flexibility, ability to multitask, and proficiency in shifting priorities u2022 High degree of manual dexterity required for complex assembly u2022 Good mechanical aptitude and excellent problem solving skills u2022 Ability to read blue prints and operate precision measuring equipment u2022 Prior experience using computers u2022 Knowledge of machining fundamentals and basic operation skills u2022 Ability to setup and operate numerically controlled machines u2022 Experience operating grinding equipment such as surface grinders, ID Grinders, OD Grinders, etc. u2022 Ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges and the like u2022 Basic knowledge of component parts u2022 Knowledge of inspection procedures u2022 Manufacturing Self-Release Process (MSRP) training must be completed before permitted to self-release u2022 Customer service oriented Qualifications: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 Some machining experience u2022 Prior work experience with hydraulic systems in an aviation or military setting u2022 Understanding of and ability to manipulate complex mechanical systems u2022 Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement principles u2022 Experience in tool making u2022 Lapping BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 High school diploma or GED required + One of the following types of experience is required: + A minimum of two (2) years prior work experience performing assembly, test, metalworking, maintenance, or mechanical work u2022 An Associateu2019s Degree or certificate in machining or technical field. u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
