Experience:Minimum 2 years in working with Concrete in construction experience is required for this position.Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required for this positionLanguage: No a factor (All English, all Spanish or both) is required to communicate with customers and staff.Driver's License: Standard Class C License is required to complete assigned job tasks.Requirements:- Must have own tools- Must be able toLift, push, pull up to 50 - 90 lbs.-Must be able to work in a fast environment-Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time end or stoop repeatedly throughout the payable to walk on rough, rocky and uneven surfaces at construction sites- Must beable to work in various weather conditions (Extreme Heat/Cold, Wind, Rain, Ice, exposure to dust, fumes, load noise)-Must have reliable transportation to/from work-Must have knowledge of PPE and All Safety Regulations and RequirementsDuties:To perform skilled concrete finishing techniques, primarily on flat surface cement project including sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and slab on grade. Skilled cement finishing is performed according to accepted standards and practices.Cement Masons and Concrete FinishersSmooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.Skilled cement finishing is performed according to accepted standards and practices.Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power equipment.Smooth out concrete and ensure concrete pour is level.Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete.Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructedArrange and lay out concrete forms using wood or plastic forms, prepare job site for concrete pour.Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them.Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.
