Job Description Do you thrive in an international environment where we design and build complex and challenging capital projects for our clients? We are looking for an accomplished Engineering / Design Manager for current projects in the Data Center market. In this position, you will lead a multidisciplinary team in the design and development of data center facilities and infrastructure systems from concept /schematic design through construction documentation. You will collaborate with client stakeholders to align on facility needs such as capacity planning, site layout, facility operations, etc. You will lead the engineering effort on assigned projects and are responsible for coordinating the individual Engineering Discipline Leads such that the most cost effective total project solution for executing engineering work is achieved. Specific responsibilities include: u2022 Manage the entire design process, from concept to detail design and construction support, ensuring adherence to life sciences industry regulations and standards u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Construction, Procurement, Contracts, Quality, Project Controls, HSE, HR, IT and CQV, to align design objectives and project requirements u2022 Develop project plans, allocate resources effectively, and develops/manage project budgets to ensure successful project execution u2022 Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure project deliverables are met u2022 Collaborate with stakeholders to set project priorities, manage expectations, and provide regular updates on project status u2022 Act as a leader in applying Cost Competitive Execution techniques and develop the most cost- effective total project solution for the discipline engineering work u2022 Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects u2022 Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts u2022 Develop and review specifications, including design criteria u2022 Other duties as assigned Basic Job Requirements u2022 Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders u2022 Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job u2022 Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines Other Job Requirements u2022 Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials u2022 Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out u2022 Practical field experience u2022 Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting u2022 Data Center Engineering Procurment Construction Experience u2022 Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, such as FDA guidelines, ISO standards, and other relevant regulations, throughout the design process. u2022 Establish and maintain Fluor quality processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of safe and effective products. u2022 Lead risk management activities: risk assessment, risk analysis, and risk mitigation strategies u2022 Translate global strategic initiatives into procedures to be implemented on projects u2022 Conduct design reviews, identify risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines, budgets and quality standards u2022 Stay updated on the latest advancements, emerging technologies, and industry best practices related to life sciences engineering design u2022 Provide technical guidance and support to the team in resolving complex design challenges Preferred Qualifications u2022 Professional registration and active participation in technical society #LI-OT1 We are an equal opportunity employer. Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidateu2019s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
