Director of Accounting

Description We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead our accounting operations and ensure the organizationu2019s financial integrity. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively oversee financial processes, support company growth, and collaborate with senior leadership and external stakeholders. Based in Irving, Texas, this position also involves limited oversight of HR, payroll, IT, and administrative functions. Responsibilities: u2022 Supervise the accounting team, managing day-to-day operations and month-end financial close processes. u2022 Ensure accurate preparation and reporting of financial statements, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. u2022 Develop and implement financial strategies for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term growth. u2022 Collaborate with private equity stakeholders and senior leadership, providing insights and presenting financial reports. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain robust internal controls. u2022 Manage payroll operations and ensure timely processing for all employees. u2022 Oversee insurance and benefit administration, optimizing cost-effective plans while ensuring compliance. u2022 Provide limited oversight of outsourced IT services and HR/payroll functions. u2022 Coordinate with external accounting firms for support on specialized financial tasks. u2022 Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and systems to enhance efficiency. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounting leadership roles, preferably within private equity-backed organizations. u2022 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred. u2022 Expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software, including BlackLine, is highly desirable. u2022 Knowledge of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance. u2022 Strong leadership and team management skills. u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives and external stakeholders. u2022 Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial operations with business objectives.
