Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Set-up machinery and perform complex machining on components/pieces with conventional machinery, such as vertical turret lathes, horizontal boring mills, shapers, and grinders. Experience with CNC machinery nice to have but not required. LOCATION: Norfolk, VA PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: + Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate precision parts. + Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining. + Utilize bore gauges, calipers, and other measuring tools for quality control. + Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance. + Collaborate with quality control teams to meet production standards. + Assemble components as needed based on specifications. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: + 5 years of proven experience as a Machinist with expertise in both manual and CNC operations. + Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical documentation. + Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines and quality control processes. + Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively. + Basic programming skills for CNC machines are a plus. + Must successfully undergo a background investigation and drug screening.
