Description: The Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics at North Carolina A&T State University seeks a dynamic and innovative Chairperson for the Department of Management who possesses a strong record of scholarship, teaching, and service, along with demonstrated leadership experience in higher education. The successful candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to fostering excellence in research, teaching, and service and possess a clear vision for advancing the departmentu2019s educational, research, and community engagement efforts. This is a 12-month administrative position with a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The preferred start date is July 2026. Candidate must have an earned doctorate in management, business administration, or a closely related field and a record of scholarly activity commensurate with appointment as a professor or associate professor. Requirements: Candidate must have an earned doctorate in management, business administration, or a closely related field and a record of scholarly activity commensurate with appointment as a professor or associate professor. They must have six or more years of demonstrated excellence in leadership and administration, with experience gained through the leadership of a large academic unit or similar organization preferred. Candidate must also have a strong record in research, teaching, and service. The Chairperson should be an open and effective communicator with the ability to build cooperation and consensus. The candidateu2019s academic credentials should provide evidence of an ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the faculty and administration of the College and University, as well as other constituent groups and partners both within and outside the University.
